DIGITAL BASE
This is our most popular course. It is dedicated to the basics of DJing and is suitable for learning from scratch. If you don't know where to start, start there. During the course, you will get to know the equipment and learn mixing techniques on digital players. Understand electronic music genres and track structure. Learn where to look for music, where to download it, how to structure it. Build your own set and get a recording of your mix. Our school holds debut parties where successful students have the opportunity to perform.
COURSE TOPICS
1. Connection and construction of equipment
Acquaintance with the equipment. Overview of the main models of digital players and mixers. The principle of switching and connection. Analysis of the main functions of the equipment.
2. Mixing on CD-players
Let's get acquainted with the basic mixing algorithm on Pioneer XDJ-1000 players. Work with track speed selection and bpm synchronization. We understand the CUE function — we learn to set the starting point. Track structure: rhythmic grid, squares, strong and weak parts. Working with magnifying glasses
3. Work with the mixer
We learn to use the equalizer and eliminate frequency conflicts. We train the smoothness of the erection. What is gain and how does it differ from master volume. What are the types of mixers and what are their features. What effects and filters can be useful and how to use them correctly.
4. Selection of material and construction of the set
Introduction to electronic music styles. Where to search and download music, familiarization with the main Internet resources. How to sort the material and prepare for the set. We analyze the Recordbox program - basic functionality and purpose. What is the dramaturgy of a set, we learn to build compilations.
5. Graduation party and mix recording
Star time and proof that you are a real DJ. After the end of the course, we invite the most conscientious students to express themselves at the graduation party in the HVLV bar. At the party, we record mixes that will later serve as promotional material for the graduates.
How is the training ?
Learning is based on practice. Classes are held individually with the teacher in a dialogue format. The degree of your previous training does not matter. All the necessary equipment and additional materials are provided by the school, all you need is you and your desire.
